Tuition

October 09, 2008

PUBLIC PRESCHOOL TUITION POLICY

The Perry County Public Preschool Program uses an income based sliding scale to determine individual family cost.  The fee schedule will be reviewed annually.  Incomes are verified by the previous year’s federal income tax return, as required by the State Department of Education.

The State grant funds cover most of the cost of our programs, but the State does require that other sources (tuition) supplement the fund dollars.

NOTE:  All school districts are required to offer a program for children, ages 3-5, with identified special needs, at no cost.  Therefore, if a child with an IEP has center-based placement, no tuition is charged.  In some cases, a student may attend a center-based program as a typically developing child, but have an IEP that requires itinerant services outside of class.  That child would not pay tuition.

Sliding fee scale based on Federal Government Poverty Levels

Your yearly gross income and the number of members in your family determine your tuition payment.
