David N. Branch

Welcome to the Perry-Hocking Educational Service Center Website.

I am pleased to serve boys and girls of Perry and Hocking counties as Superintendent of the Perry-Hocking Educational Service Center. I began my new duties as superintendent on August 1, 2011. I have enjoyed meeting the area school district superintendents, school personnel, our employees, and community members.

The Perry-Hocking Educational Service Center will be undergoing many changes between now and January 1, 2012. Our Governing Board and the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center Governing Board have approved merger documents to allow for the merger of our educational service center with the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center. We believe that this merger will enhance the services that we are capable of bringing to the boys and girls and school districts of Perry and Hocking counties. There are many details to work through before January 1, 2012.

Currently, the Perry-Hocking Educational Service Center serves the school districts and the boys and girls of Perry and Hocking counties.  Our educational service center has service agreements with the Logan-Hocking Local School District, Crooksville Exempted Village School District, and New Lexington City Schools District.  In addition, we provide some student services to the Northern Local School District, Berne Union Local School District, Southern Local School District, and Perry County Board of Developmental Disabilities.  We operate, in cooperation with the Perry County Juvenile Court, an alternative school for Perry County students. We manage, or serve as the fiscal agent, for several state and federal grants including 21st Century Grants that provide before and after school learning opportunities for Perry and Hocking County boys and girls.
If you have a question about the Perry-Hocking Educational Service Center or the services that we might be able to provide to your school district or your agency, please contact me at any time.

Sincerely,

David N. Branch, Superintendent
Perry-Hocking Educational Service Center
